Only twelve rooms and suites make up Cour Des Vosges hotel in Paris and we were lucky enough to stay in one of them. The luxury 17th-century residence at 19 place des Vosges lies in Le Marais, a hotspot with extraordinary cafes, art galleries, and some of the best shopping in the world.
Place Des Vosges was the royal square Henri IV planned in 1605, and therefore the oldest square in Paris. Cour Des Vosges opens onto Square Louis XIII and its splendid houses with their recognizable, and iconic, pink brick façades and slate roofs. It’s often a meeting point for Parisians throughout their day to relax and enjoy an espresso.

The location for Cour Des Vosges is amazing in itself, but the real glamour is the history that comes with it on the inside. This hotel is considered a mansion by some, château by others, drawing in epicures, hedonists, history buffs, and lovers of Paris from all around the world.

Evok, the company that acquired number 19 in 2016, opened Cour Des Vosges, the fourth hotel in the group’s Parisian collection. Interior designers Yann Le Coadic and Alessandro Scotto goals were to respect and preserve the authenticity of the building. Each room or suite is a nod to Paris’ beauty, uniqueness, and strength. The historic landmark still has the original painted ceiling beams and period terra cotta floors.

Sadly, our stay was short and we were not able to discover all Cour Des Vosges had to offer. Treatments are available daily if you’re in need of a little pampering after a long day skipping through Paris, or the house florist who can help create a custom bouquet to brighten up your stay. The real secret is on the ground floor. For those needing an extra little bit of relaxation, the roman bath under a vaulted ceiling is the perfect retreat to be revitalized.
It doesn’t stop there. Just a few steps away, an Italian boat is waiting to take you up and down Le Seine to discover Paris from a new angle. I’ve always loved seeing Paris from the water and I would recommend it to anyone visiting.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Paris without a bakery attached as well! The hotel features a restaurant and tea room on their bottom floor. My favorite part of the entire stay was the breakfast, fresh and delivered each morning at whatever time you’d like. It really doesn’t get much better than that.

To say the least, Cour Des Vosges blew me away. It’s the kind of hotel you dream about when visiting Paris. Whether you spend one hour or two weeks at Cour Des Vosges, it’s safe to say you’ll leave wanting more… I sure do.
