Venice, California: Restaurant Guide

I love popping over to Venice for a quick bite or a long dinner. Each one of these restaurants has its own personality and style, but all fit perfectly in Venice’s free‑spirit scene.

Ospi

Ospi is one of my favorite restaurants in all of Los Angeles. By Chef Jackson Kalb, Ospi takes Italian comfort food to new heights. Their pizzas and pastas are extraordinary, but don’t sleep on their antipasti.

Felix Trattoria

From the one and only Evan Funke, Felix Trattoria has paved its way to a top spot on my list (and probably everyone’s who have been there). Felix is inspired by the deeply rooted culinary traditions of regional Italy and enriched with ingredients grown by California family farms.

Gjusta

Gjusta is as fresh as it gets. This California deli, bakery, and cafe, and market uses seasonal ingredients and bakes their breads on‑site. The sprawling, warehouse like space is first come, first serve, so be prepared for that.

Night + Market Sahm

Thirtysomething chef Kris Yenbamroong’s Venice location is Yenbamroong’s third (“sahm” means three in Thai) in LA. It has the perfect, slightly trippy setting to dig into some spicy, flavor-packed Thai street food.
