Copenhagen, Denmark: Restaurant Guide

Copenhagen is one of my favorite European cities. I feel as though Copenhagen is often overlooked as a food destination, but one trip to these restaurants and that will all change.

Bottega Barlie

Whether you crave a morning coffee and a croissant, a quick lunch, or a delightful tapas dinner, this place has you covered. The Mediterranean food and atmosphere, fine natural wines, and service has made Bottega Barlie one of my favorites. Because it’s still under the radar, you can usually get a table anytime of day, even on the weekends.

Must Try: Oysters, Tostadas, Straciatella

It’s hard to find good Latin American inspired cuisine in Copenhagen. Look no further. Llama is the best. This is always a fun dinner spot.

Address: Lille Kongensgade 14, 1074 København, Denmark

Ruby

Ruby is has consistently been one of the best cocktail bars in the city for over a century now. Placed in an old townhouse from 1740, this bar was voted one of the top 50 bars in Europe and is always the first drink spot of the night. Ruby boasts a modern Scandinavian-style front room, with a darker lounge at the rear.

Must Try: Pamplemousse, The Nude Way

Lille blå Vinbar

The most blue-colored wine bar in Copenhagen, and perhaps even in the world. This is one of my favorite wine bars simply because of the design and atmosphere. They also have a great wine collection in which you can reserve wine tasting. Make appointments directly on their website.

Dzidra is located just right of Nørrebrogade. On summer days, the big double doors are open and the restaurant flows seamlessly with the indoor/outdoor feel.
