Restaurants I’ve Recently Tried and Loved: Los Angeles, California

You all loved this article when I posted it in November, so I decided to do a part two. As I’m still developing more intense lists for each area of LA, I always want to keep my readers up to date with the restaurants I’m loving. So, again, until then, enjoy this list of restaurants that I’ve recently tried and fell in love with.

Dudley Market

Dudley’s one of my top restaurants in LA. I’ve mentioned Dudley on my blog before, but I can’t stress enough how good it is. The design, vibe, food, everything is perfect.

Must Try: Dudley Burger, Fish Tacos, Oysters, Kanpachi

Address: 9 Dudley Ave, Venice, CA 90291

Hours: Wednesday-Friday 5:00PM–11:00 PM / Saturday & Sunday 2:00PM–11 :00PM / Monday & Tuesday Closed

Jemma Di Mare

Jemma Di Mare absolutely lived up to the hype. Chef Jackson and Melissa Kalb of Ospi and Jame created the perfect Italian seafood spot for Brentwood. I’ve already been a couple times and it just opened early May.

Must Try: Emmy’s Garlic Bread, Brussel Sprouts, Oysters, Spicy Eggplant, Panzanell, Lasagna, Bone-In Veal Chop

Address: Brentwood Gardens Plaza, 11677 San Vicente Blvd #200, Los Angeles, CA 90049

Bar Monette

The chicest new restaurant to open in Downtown Santa Monica. Bar Monette is an intimate and cozy tapas bar, serving refined small plates, neopolitan style pizza and wine. There’s only 2 people allowed per reservation, so it’s a great spot for date night or a girls catch up.

Must Try: Aunty Wendy’s Terviso, Truffle Creamed Corn, Truffle & Aged Cheese Pizza, Spicy Calabrese & Honey Pizza

Address: 109 Santa Monica Blvd, Santa Monica, CA 90401

Hours: Wednesday-Sunday 5 :00PM–12:00 AM / Monday & Tuesday Closed

PLANTA

PLANTA Marina Del Rey is finally open! PLANTA is a 100% plant based restaurant that is dedicated to running a sustainable and environmentally responsible business. I’m always iffy about plant based restaurants, but I love PLANTA.

Must Try: Crispy Rice, Dragon Roll, 1,000 Layer Potatoes, Bang Bang Broccoli, Udon Noodles, Sweet Corn Cavatelli

Address: 4625 Admiralty Way Suite 104, Marina Del Rey, CA 90292

Hours: Monday-Thursday 4:00PM–10:00 PM / Friday & Saturday 4:00PM–11:00 PM

Layla Bagels

Layla Bagels is making its mark on the Westside. These sourdough, hand-rolled bagels are made every morning and the toppings are as fresh as it gets.

Must Try: Seasonal Fruit Bagel, The Scarlett, The Spicy BEC

Address: 1614 Ocean Park Blvd, Santa Monica, CA 90405

Hours: Everyday 7 :00AM–2:30 PM

Fiish

Fiish is the hottest new sushi spot in Culver City. Grab a bite to eat here then shop around at The Platform.

Must Try: Tuna Tataki, Baja Aloha, Any of the sashimis

Address: 8820 Washington Blvd ste. 101, Culver City, CA 90232

Hours: Tuesday & Wednesday 12:00PM-10:00PM / Thursday-Saturday 12:00PM-late! / Sunday & Monday Closed

Sur Le Vert

This cozy Beverly Hills wine bar should be your next place for drinks with the girls. The wine selection is incredible and the food is delicious. Win win!

Address: 235 N Canon Dr, Beverly Hills, CA 90210

Hours: Tuesday-Sunday 11:00 AM–10:00 PM / Monday Closed

Awan

I can’t get enough of Awan. Made from Indonesian coconut cream and coconut water, this “not ice cream” is vegan and gluten free. It’s exceptionally made with local seasonal ingredients.

Must Try: Chocolate Oreo, Coffee, Blood Orange

Address: 866 Huntley Dr, West Hollywood, CA 90069

Hours: Monday-Friday 3:00PM–10:00 PM / Saturday & Sunday 12:00PM–10:00 PM

Prime Pizza

I’ve heard so many amazing things about Prime Pizza, but never got around to trying it. Now that I have, I can’t stop thinking about it. If you’re craving NY style pizza, this is the place to go.

Must Try: Pepperoni Pizza with Jalapeños, Vodka Pizza

Address: 446 N Fairfax Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90036

A good friend of mine was raving about Colapasta and the pasta was truly spectacular.
